Project Management
The Projects page is where you view and track all your security camera installation jobs. Every quote, invoice, and map you make is created inside a project, letting you check your work from start to finish.
How to Open Projects
Section titled “How to Open Projects”Follow these simple directions to find your dashboard based on the device you are using:
- Click on Projects from the main left sidebar menu.
- Tap on Projects from the bottom navigation bar.
Exploring the Projects Dashboard
Section titled “Exploring the Projects Dashboard”When you open the screen, you can manage your work using these simple interface tools:
1. Card View vs. List View Toggle
Section titled “1. Card View vs. List View Toggle”- Look next to the add button in the top-right area of the screen.
- Click the Grid Icon to view your projects organized as clean individual cards (Card View).
- Click the List Icon right next to it if you prefer to see them in highly compact horizontal rows (List View).
2. Searching and Filtering
Section titled “2. Searching and Filtering”- Search Box: Type directly into the long Search projects… bar to find a project by name, customer details, email, phone, or address instantly.
- Filter Icon: Click the funnel button on the far right of the search bar to filter your projects by their status or by date.
3. Reviewing Project Cards
Section titled “3. Reviewing Project Cards”Each project card shows its own number (like P102), the customer’s name, phone number, installation address, and the date it was created. You can take action quickly using the buttons on the card:
- View Details: Click the orange button to see the full layouts, equipment list, and invoices for that project.
- Pencil Icon: Click the small pen symbol to update core details.
- Trash Can Icon: Click this to delete the project from your list.
Project Status Meanings
Section titled “Project Status Meanings”Every project goes through different stages. The app changes these stages automatically based on what you do:
- Draft: The initial status when you create a new project.
- Quoted: The project automatically switches from Draft to Quoted as soon as you make at least one quotation for the project.
- In Progress: The project automatically switches from Quoted to In Progress as soon as a quotation is marked as selected.
- **Completed:**The final stage that changes from In Progress to Completed when you manually mark the project as completed.
How to Add a New Project
Section titled “How to Add a New Project”To add a brand new project to your list:
Fill out the popup form layout fields:
1. Project Information
Section titled “1. Project Information”- Project Name: This field sets a default automatic name chain like P105.
- Client: Search for a client you already saved, or type a new name here to create a new client entry.
2. Site Location Address
Section titled “2. Site Location Address”- Site Address: Type in the exact address where you will do the installation. If it is the same as the client’s home address, just check the Same as client address box.
3. Setup Notes
Section titled “3. Setup Notes”- Project Notes: Type any special instructions, technician notes, or specific details about the job in this box.
When you are ready, click the orange Create button to add the project to your list right away, or click Cancel to close the form without saving.
