Inventory Management
The Inventory Management page helps you track your actual physical stock levels, stock costs, and serial numbers for all inventory equipment. While the Equipment page holds your master catalog names and details, this page shows exactly how many units you have available in real life.
How to Open Inventory Management
Section titled “How to Open Inventory Management”Follow these simple paths based on the device you are using:
- Click on Inventory from the main left sidebar navigation pane.
- Tap on Items from the bottom app navigation bar.
- Tap on Inventory from the segmented controls at the top of your screen.
Exploring the Inventory Dashboard
Section titled “Exploring the Inventory Dashboard”The main page lets you look at your total stock across all storage spaces. You can manage your items using these simple tools:
1. View Inventory Batches
Section titled “1. View Inventory Batches”- Click the dropdown arrow on any item row to see your stock split into specific batches. You can see the Vendor, Unit Cost, Total Stock Value, and your optional Purchase Invoice number.
- Each row clearly monitors your raw total warehouse count (Quantity) alongside your actual usable stock (Available) that haven’t been reserved for active client jobs.
2. Search and Category Filters
Section titled “2. Search and Category Filters”- Text Search: Type directly into the long Search inventory… bar to find items by name, description, or serial number instantly.
- Barcode Scan: Click the small barcode scanner icon inside the search bar to search by scanning item barcodes.
- Category Filters: Click the funnel icon to filter items by categories such as Camera, DVR/NVR, Storage, or Video/Network Cable.
3. Batch Actions
Section titled “3. Batch Actions”On the far right side of expanded inventory rows, you will see two icons:
- Serial Number Icon (#): Click the purple hash button to see or adjust unique device numbers.
- Trash Can Icon: Click this to delete a specific stock batch tracking entry.
How to Add New Inventory Stock
Section titled “How to Add New Inventory Stock”To add newly bought items or restock your list:
- Click the orange + Add Inventory Item button in the top-right corner.
- Tap the + button in the top-right corner.
Fill out the popup form values step by step:
1. Identify Product Details
Section titled “1. Identify Product Details”Choose the exact product you want to restock:
- Category: Choose the product group from the dropdown menu.
- Equipment: Search by name or vendor to select the matching item card.
2. Set Costs & Invoice No.
Section titled “2. Set Costs & Invoice No.”Enter your quantities and prices:
- Quantity: Type in the number of physical items you are adding to your stock.
- Unit Cost: Type in what you paid for a single item. The app automatically multiplies this to show your Total Cost at the bottom.
- Purchase Invoice Number (Optional): Type in your bill reference number if you want to keep track of it.
3. Track Unique Serial Numbers (Optional)
Section titled “3. Track Unique Serial Numbers (Optional)”Record individual serial numbers of your items:
- Click the Manage Serial Numbers box.
- Type each unit’s serial number into the numbered slots, then click Save Serial Numbers.
When you are done, click the orange Create button to add the stock to your list right away, or click Cancel to discard your entries.
