Master Data Overview
Master Data is the central place where you store all your everyday business information in CCTVpilot. Instead of typing the same business details by hand every single time you start a new job, saving your info here lets you quickly link items, companies, and workers to your projects.
Setting up these pages makes generating Quotations, Invoices, and Receipts incredibly fast and accurate.
The 5 Core Master Data Modules
Section titled “The 5 Core Master Data Modules”Your workspace is divided into five main pages.
1. Equipment
Section titled “1. Equipment”- What it is: Your master list of equipment details, along with their prices, and warranty information.
2. Inventory
Section titled “2. Inventory”- What it is: Your actual physical stock tracker. This page shows how many physical units you have available in your warehouse, what each batch cost you, and their serial numbers.
3. Clients
Section titled “3. Clients”- What it is: Your client address book. This safely stores profiles for your clients so you can easily assign them in new projects.
4. Vendors
Section titled “4. Vendors”- What it is: Your vendors list. Use this to keep contact info for the distributors and hardware stores where you buy your products.
5. Personnel
Section titled “5. Personnel”- What it is: Your team records center. This tracks your workers, contractors, and field technicians, along with their specific technical skills and payment rates.
How to Find and Open Master Data Sections
Section titled “How to Find and Open Master Data Sections”You can open any of these pages instantly depending on your current device:
- Look at your sidebar on the left side of the screen.
- Click directly on any item in the group (Equipment, Inventory, Clients, Vendors, or Personnel) to open that exact management panel.
- Tap on the Items icon on the bottom navigation bar to toggle between the Equipment and Inventory tabs at the top.
- Tap on the People icon on the bottom navigation bar to switch between the Clients, Vendors, and Personnel tabs at the top.
Core Interface Tricks to Know
Section titled “Core Interface Tricks to Know”No matter which Master Data page you are looking at, they all share simple layout tools to make your work easy:

View Layout Switches: Every page has layout buttons at the top right. Use them to switch between a grid block view (Card View) or a compact, row-by-row structure (List View).

Live Search Bars: Type directly into the top search boxes to find items or profiles by name, description, etc. instantly.

Fast Creation Buttons: Look for the bright orange buttons (like + Add Client or + Add Equipment) at the top right of your** **screen to open quick, step-by-step forms to add new data.
