Vendor Management
The Vendor Management page helps you keep track of where you purchase your security cameras, cables, and other equipment. Organizing your vendor network here makes it easy to handle your inventory and equipment items.
How to Open Vendor Management
Section titled “How to Open Vendor Management”Follow these steps based on the device you are using:
- Click on Vendors from the main left sidebar menu.
- Tap on People from the bottom navigation bar.
- Tap on Vendors from the controls at the top of the screen.
Exploring the Vendor Page
Section titled “Exploring the Vendor Page”Once you are on the Vendor Management screen, you can manage your vendors with these useful tools:
1. Card View vs. List View Toggle
Section titled “1. Card View vs. List View Toggle”- Next to the add button at the top right, there are two small view toggle icons.
- Click the Grid Icon to see your vendors laid out as visual boxes (Card View).
- Click the List Icon right next to it if you prefer a compact, row-by-row structure (List View).
2. Searching Vendors
Section titled “2. Searching Vendors”- Use the large Search vendors… bar at the top of the page to quickly find a specific vendor by typing their company name or their contact info.
3. Managing Existing Vendors
Section titled “3. Managing Existing Vendors”Each vendor card shows their name, contact person’s name, email, phone number, and physical office address. You can manage them using the small icons in the top-right corner of each card:
- Pencil Icon: Click this to change or edit the vendor’s saved details.
- Trash Can Icon: Click this to delete a vendor if you no longer work with them.
How to Add a New Vendor
Section titled “How to Add a New Vendor”To start adding a brand new vendor to your list:
What to Fill In:
Section titled “What to Fill In:”Once the Add New Vendor popup opens, you can complete the form fields:
- Vendor Name * (Required): Type the official name of the business (like Apex Hardware).
- Contact Person: Type the name of the representative you talk to (like Nimal).
- Email & Phone: Enter their primary communication details.
- Address: Type in their physical storefront or warehouse address.
- Notes: Write down extra helpful details like custom discount rates or delivery days.
To finish, click the orange Create button to save them to your platform instantly, or click Cancel to exit without saving.
